AICA Held a Conference on Ethics & ICT in Turin

AICAAICA organised a conference on Ethics and ICT with Rotary International at the Politecnico di Torino in Turin on 28 May. The event sought to answer the many questions relative to the ethical implications of ICT activities and digital services facing teachers, researchers, professionals, universities, ICT companies, policy makers and society at large. It stressed the crucial role played by school associations and called for the training of students to prepare them for today's information society. The growing importance and pervasiveness of digital services in today's connected world was seen as signifying that the use of digital technology was no longer the realm of technicians, but now that of all users. The event culminated with an award ceremony rewarding the best thesis or doctoral research on ethics and ICT.
