Job Creation and Growth Needs Change, Says European Parliament

european_parliamentThe European Parliament’s Committee on Employment and Social Affairs recently published proposed amendments to the report on combating inequalities as a lever to boost job creation and growth. One of the significant changes, made on behalf of the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality, highlights the importance of further encouraging and supporting female digital entrepreneurship. The amendment recommends that the EU Member States focus on boosting women’s e-skills, e-literacy and digital inclusion, both in the ICT sector and beyond. This comes as a response to the growing demand for e-skills in Europe.
