EYCS Council Marks Acquisition of Digital Skills as Priority Under New Skills Agenda


CoEU logo.pngThe Education, Youth, Culture and Sports Council adopted a resolution on the European Commission’s New Skills Agenda communication. The resolution highlights the issues that the Council deems the most important, such as the need for closer links between education and training and the world of employment, adequate EU funding for actions that the New Skills Agenda encompasses and effective coordination at the EU level on education issues. It was stressed that it is extremely important for people to acquire the skills, such as ICT skills, needed to be an effective part of the modern workforce.
