The Icelandic Computer Society, in collaboration with The University of Iceland, Reykjavik University and The Federation of Icelandic Industries has issued a call for papers for the biggest IT event in Iceland – Utmessan. The purpose of the UTmessan is to highlight the importance of information technology and its effects on individuals, businesses and Icelandic society alike. The goal is to see a significant increase in the number of students who choose technical disciplines in universities across the country and especially in computer science. The papers should therefore cover innovations or subjects that are of interest to people working in or passionate about IT. The papers can be either in English or in Icelandic. The deadline for submissions is 1 November 2016.
