The EU-wide “InnoApps” competition was launched on 22 June for young entrepreneurs, with € 20,000 cash prize and a chance to market their product. This year's focus is on the Internet of Things and on smart and safe cities. It is organized by the European Young Innovators Forum, in partnership with Huawei. The broader aim of the competition is to foster e-skills, increase e-participation and promote entrepreneurship for young people in Europe. The applications can be submitted until 25 October 2016. The application does not necessarily have to be a ready product – it can be also a concept or an idea.
